Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data RouteStitch collects, why, and what you can do about it. RouteStitch is run by SOH BOON KEONG, an individual based in Singapore, referred to in this notice as "we" or "us". We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture link and a Google account ID. We do not see your Google password.
- Saved routes. When you are signed in, each route you optimise is saved to your account. That includes route names, stop names, their map coordinates, and totals such as distance and drive time.
- Subscription details. If you buy RouteStitch Pro, our payment provider HitPay processes your payment and tells us whether your subscription is active. We do not receive or store your card number.
- Your location. Only when you tap "Use my location as start", and only if you allow it. It becomes the start stop and is treated like any other stop.
- Technical data. Like any website, the servers that deliver the page and its map, routing and search data receive your IP address and browser details as part of normal requests.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal data.
Your customers' details
Stops you enter may include customers' names and addresses. For that information, you (or your business) decide what is collected and why, and we process it on your behalf to plan your routes. Please only enter what you need, and make sure you are allowed to use it.
Why we use it
- to sign you in and keep you signed in;
- to plan routes, and to save them so you can open them on any device;
- to run RouteStitch Pro subscriptions;
- to keep the Service secure, fix problems and answer your messages;
- to meet legal obligations.
Who else sees it
We share only what each service needs to work:
- Supabase stores accounts and saved routes for us. Region: Singapore.
- Google handles sign-in.
- HitPay handles Pro payments.
- OSRM routing servers receive the coordinates of your stops to work out road distances and drive times. These are routing.openstreetmap.de, run by FOSSGIS e.V., and router.project-osrm.org.
- Nominatim, run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, receives the text of any address you search for.
- OpenStreetMap tile servers receive requests for the parts of the map you view.
- Content delivery networks (cdnjs, jsDelivr and Google Fonts) deliver the page's code and fonts.
- Google Maps and Waze receive stop coordinates when you tap a navigation link.
Some of these providers are outside Singapore. Where personal data goes overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Stored on your device
The page keeps your current stops and settings in your browser's local storage, so they are still there next time. When you sign in, a sign-in token is also kept there. We do not use advertising cookies. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of this, and signing out removes the sign-in token.
How long we keep it
Saved routes stay until you delete them in "My routes" or ask us to close your account. Your account details stay until you close your account. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can delete any saved route yourself. You can also ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, or delete your account, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide the Service to you. Email admin@routestitch.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Each account can only read its own saved routes, enforced in the database. No system is completely secure, so please tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
Children
RouteStitch is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will tell you on the Service before the change takes effect.
